Veterans’ Voices

Veterans’ Voices explores the experiences of United States military veterans through oral history recordings in the Southern Oral History Program’s archives. This exhibit was planned, designed, and built by undergraduate students in the Spring 2023 SOHP internship seminar.

Nine undergraduates in the course chose and designed the aesthetics, focus, and site. Each student researched their own historic topic based on an oral history of their choosing, which they pulled from the Southern Oral History Program’s archives, especially the Military Dissenters: Veterans, Military Families, and the Iraq and Afghan Wars collection. This collection consists of interviews by Betsy Brinson.
